Youth Sports

The YMCA of the Triangle delivers quality youth sports programs led by volunteer coaches and staff. Programs are open to children with a variety of skill levels.

We offer sports programs for kids age 3 through grade 8 in sports such as baseball, soccer, basketball, volleyball and tennis. Soccer & basketball options include challenge programming for advanced skill development.

The YMCA even hosts a competitive jump rope team for kids called the Super Skippers at our Taylor Family YMCA location in Cary.

Kids can also train for kid triathlons through our North Raleigh locations for races held in the summer, or play flag football in the spring & fall at our Kraft and Johnston county locations.

The Y focuses on skill development and healthy competition. When young players learn sports skills, it increases their enjoyment and builds their confidence. Every player should be able to develop their skills and play, regardless of ability.

On the field or on the court, the YMCA fosters an environment of teamwork, fair play and good sportsmanship.

We recruit and rely on volunteers to coach our youth sports teams and guide young players in modeling YMCA core values, honesty, caring, respect, responsibility, and faith in God.
