More Need, More Potential
The Triangle region is growing dramatically. According to 2010 census data, the community grew 125 percent within 10 years. It is projected to grow at least another 20 percent by 2017. Our YMCA is determined to keep pace by being more accessiblke, more innovative and mroe impactful.
The YMCA of the Triangle's Mission drives our work: To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build health spirit, mind and body for all.
For more than 150 year, our Y has met short-term needs and delivered long-term solutions for children, families and adults throughout the region. Today, our YMCA is poised and prepared to address critical community needs more than any other area nonprofit.
Our YMCA serves nearly 130,000 children, families and adults through education support programs, health and wellness initiatives, and safe, fun opportunities that develop the potential of our children.
By the year 2020, our Y will serve approximately 200,000 people in our region. Our long-range plan and our visionary leaders have challenged our YMCA to do more.
But, we can't do it alone.
