YMCA camps offer kids a chance to explore places, activities and ideas outside their normal lives. At camp, they discover new talents, new interests and new friends. Parents have trusted YMCA camps for generations, because, they are experiences that help foster leadership, self-confidence, and deepen respect for the environments and communities we live in.

Win a Free Summer of Camp

The YMCA is giving one lucky family a free summer of day camp! Register by April 1 to enter. There is one entry per child for each week of camp purchased. Winning child receives all weeks of YMCA Summer Day Camp free, with a maximum of 10 camp weeks. All free camp weeks must be offered by the same YMCA branch in which the child was initially registered.

Kids build confidence at YMCA Intersession through a variety of activities including swimming, arts and humanities, STEM activities and field trips. YMCA Intersession campers also have an opportunity to take a three-day overnight trip to Arapahoe, N.C. to stay at YMCA Camp Seafarer.

Overnight Camp

YMCA Overnight Camps are a home away from home for campers ages 5 - 15. Our Overnight Camps are led by highly qualified, trained counselors who were often campers and CILTs themselves.

School Holiday Camps

The YMCA offers full-day programs on many teacher workdays and school holidays in Wake, Durham and Lee counties and Chapel Hill - Carrboro city school district. Kids in grades K - 8 come to the YMCA for a full day of playing games, swimming, arts & crafts, sports and other activities that keep them engaged and active.

Specialty Day Camps

YMCA Specialty Day Camps give your camper a chance to spend the week doing something special. These camps offer weeks dedicated to cooking, science, arts, drones, or photography. Our Specialty Day Camps are led by a team of YMCA staff and outside experts, such as technology companies, artists-in-residence, or chefs who have a passion for teaching kids.

Sports Day Camps

YMCA Sports Camps offer kids a full summer of basketball, soccer, flag football, baseball or a mix of all sports. Our Sports Day Camps are led by high school and college-aged students who play the sport themselves and who have a passion for coaching kids and being excellent role models.

Our camps focus on a different sport each week. Skill development, drills, and scrimmages are part of each week, as camp assemblies and swim time.

Track Out Camps

Go on new adventures all year at the YMCA's newly enhanced Track Out Camps. We have new themes, field trip adventures and learning experiences.

YMCA Track Out Camps are the perfect place for your year-round student to find friendship, think creatively, build confidence, learn new skills, stay active and have fun during their break from school.

Traditional Day Camps

Traditional YMCA Summer Day Camps include archery, swimming, crafts, games, assemblies and friends. You'll love our convenient locations and our caring staff who are excellent role models. Each week features a different, fun theme.
