Interest Groups

The Y brings people together who love to learn and who have shared interests. Whether you're new to the community or simply want to find a group of like-minded people, the Y may be your place. We love to match up people with their passions.

PROGRAM OFFERINGS

Romeo Men's Social Club

The Kraft YMCA R.O.M.E.O (Retired Old Men Eating Out) group is about men building friendships, sharing interests and simply enjoying each other's company. And not everyone in the group is retired or old!

The group meets the fourth Thursday of each month for lunch. If you're interested in joining the group or knowing when and where we meet each month contact Dave Morehead.

Thrive

Thrive at the Y!  Come to the Y to make friends, get active and volunteer (give back to the community).  YMCA THRIVE is geared toward active older adult YMCA members.

Get active, and join a THRIVE group fitness class. In THRIVE group fitness classes, you will find workouts geared for active older adults held at convenient times.

Walk and Run Clubs

Walking and running are two popular methods of fitness in the Triangle. With our miles of greenways that criss-cross the area and mild weather, it's no surprise that many YMCA members choose walking and running as preferred forms of fitness.

Several of our YMCAs host walking and/or running clubs. These clubs are led by YMCA staff and volunteers and usually meet weekly either in the community or the YMCA for walks or runs.

Y Moms

Playtime isn't just for the kids! You enjoy your time at the Y, so why does it have to end when you leave?

Connect with moms and meet the kids your children play with each day. Join other moms for monthly play dates, mom dates and more in our area.
