YMCA of the Triangle

Header slogan

At the Y, there is no such thing as too young or too old to get in the game.

YMCA of the Triangle sports for adults and kids provide camaraderie, get everyone moving, and improve the health and well-being of our communities. With a sport for almost everyone, you can get your game on at the Y.

For youth, the Y provides a supportive environment for competitive and recreational level team sports for ages 3 through middle school. Our coaches focus on skill, good sportsmanship and character development, emphasizing teamwork, cooperation and good values.

Preschool Sports

The YMCA of the Triangle offers Rookie Sports, and introductory sports programs for preschoolers ages 3 - 5 (must be potty trained).

Youth Basketball

YMCA of the Triangle youth basketball leagues are a great way for your kids to fine-tune their skills, practice good sportsmanship and have fun.

Our recreational youth basketball leagues focus on an "everybody plays, everybody wins" strategy. Out players also learn the values of caring, respect, honesty and responsibility in a team sports environment.

Youth Flag Football

YMCA Youth Flag Football teaches kids about all the hikes, passes and touchdowns without the helmets, pads and tackles. Kids also learn the value of teamwork, honesty and hard work. The season includes drills, skill development and scrimmages.

All players are required to wear mouth guards during play and athletic bottoms with no pockets.

Youth Futsal

During the summer and winter, the YMCA offers a recreational futsal program designed to give players extra experience during a time when soccer is usually out of season.

Futsal is an exciting, fast-paced small-sided soccer game that is widely played across the world.
