Do you have an aspiring runner interested in learning more about the sport? Y Runners is designed for kids, ages 6 to 14, who wish to get intentional individual training in endurance, cross-country, running technique, and sprinting.
Youth Baseball, Softball and Tee-Ball
The YMCA offers baseball, softball and tee-ball. Depending on age and location, teams may be coach pitch, machine pitch or off the tee, and practices and game schedules may vary.
This spring, YMCA sports will offer small-sided league play. Games will take place with fewer athletes on the field than a typical season. In addition, for families who are not ready to participate in games, we will offer regional academy-style clinics.

YMCA youth sports provide opportunities for camaraderie, building skills and character development. We aim to keep kids moving and focus on their health and well-being.
Youth Flag Football
YMCA youth flag football teaches kids how to play together on the field with a no-contact version of football. Please be sure to check our Youth Sports Health and Safety page for the latest information.

The YMCA offers a recreational futsal program designed to give players extra experience during a time when soccer is usually out of season.

Tennis lessons are a great way to learn the game of tennis or to perfect your tennis game.
Whether your child is brand new to tennis or an advanced player, he or she can learn skills and techniques from one of our tennis professionals.
We offer private, semi-private and group clinics for players of all ages and skill levels.
Youth Triathlons
Each year the YMCA of the Triangle introduces more than 100 kids ages 7 - 14 to triathlons. We host a youth triathlon in North Raleigh in the late summer.
The course is age-specific and kids compete in certain age groups. This year our Finley Frenzy Triathlon will be held on Sunday, Aug. 27, 2023. Heats begin at 8 a.m.
Youth Volleyball
The YMCA offers volleyball for ages 7 - 14. Depending on age and location, teams may be led by volunteer coaches or YMCA staff, and practices and game schedules may vary.
This fall, we are planning to offer our traditional league format for youth volleyball. Each age group's format will be dependent on registrations.
