Party of Nine
With seven children, Yasmin and her husband were always on high alert whenever their family was around water. After participating in Swim for Life at the YMCA, their children learned critical water safety skills that help prevent drowning and keep themselves and others safe. Today, the children are more confident in and around the water, and their parents have greater peace of mind.

Yolanda & Cameo
When Cameo joined YMCA Power Scholars three years ago, he struggled with reading, math and confidence in the classroom. Today, he looks forward to the program's mix of academic support, enrichment activities and educational field trips, while exploring new interests like comic books and anime. For his mother, Yolanda, Power Scholars has become a place where Cameo continues to learn, grow and thrive.

Trey & Kaden
After losing his wife to breast cancer and facing financial hardship, Trey needed a safe and supportive place for his son Kaden. Through YMCA financial assistance, their family gained access to membership, swim lessons and a welcoming community. Today, Kaden has built confidence and friendships at the Y, while Trey has found connection, support and peace of mind during a difficult season of life.
