Registration opens on Jan. 1, 2026, for YMCA members and on Jan. 15 for Program Participants. A $20 weekly deposit holds your child’s spot.
Summer 2026
YMCA traditional Summer Day Camps are packed with activities, games and fun. Campers spend the day swimming, creating crafts and art, playing sports like kickball, pickup basketball, and soccer and playing games like gaga ball and capture the flag. Campers spend time inside and outside during the day depending on the weather and activity. Read more about a typical day at YMCA Day Camp.
All campers are encouraged to try everything, to do their best and are led by a team of YMCA youth staff and counselors.
From fun field games to archery and swimming, our counselors use activities and camp experiences to teach values like caring, honesty, respect, responsibility and faith in God – things that last long after summer is over. Camp Kerr is located at the Kerr Family YMCA and is open to campers in rising grades K – 8.

Camp Kerr FAQ
- 7 – 8:45 a.m. Rides In
Camp Kerr and Camp Kerr Extra are located at the Kerr Family YMCA. When arriving at the YMCA, coming from Sycamore Grove Lane, please take the second right turn into the facility.
During this time, we offer curbside drop-off while campers play in mixed groups.
- 8:45 – 9:15 a.m.
During this time, we will continue to offer curbside drop-off. However, campers will be in their Huddle Groups for snack and assembly. Campers will be escorted to huddles from our
- 9:15 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. Main Day Camp Activity Time!
We encourage campers to be present for this portion each day!
For drop-off: Please park and call the office. A staff member will come to you! Please do not walk into camp unless accompanied by a staff member!
- For pick-up: 4:00 – 4:20 p.m. The List!
You must select this option at drop-off. Campers will be pulled from their groups at 3:45 p.m. and dismissed from the side door beginning at 4:00 p.m.
If campers are not picked up by 4:20 p.m., campers will be taken to the mixed groups and must be picked up in Rides Out.
During this time, other campers will finish up their huddle activities and transition to mixed groups for easy dismissal.
- 4:30 – 6:00 p.m. Rides Out
During this time, we offer curbside pick-up while campers play in mixed groups.
Camp Kerr swims Monday - Friday. Swim band assessments are on Mondays.
- Kindergarten age campers only (play/splash pool) 1:30 - 2 p.m.
- Block 1- 1:30 - 2 p.m. Huddles: Caterpillars, Monarchs, Hornets and Cardinals
- Block 2- 2:10 - 3 p.m. Bear Claws, Bobcats, and Arrow Heads
- Block 3- 3:10 - 3:50 p.m. Mantises and Copper Heads
We dress up weekly on Wednesdays for WACKY WEDNESDAY! Campers and staff dress up with relation to our weekly themes.
Camp Kerr hosts Kona Ice weekly to celebrate Wacky Wednesdays! Campers, with the help of staff, can purchase Kona Ice from 11:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. Pricing ranges from $4 - $7 (Small - XL).
