Thrive at the Y! Come to the Y to make friends, get active and volunteer (give back to the community). YMCA THRIVE is geared toward active older adult YMCA members.
Get active, and join a THRIVE group fitness class. In THRIVE group fitness classes, you will find workouts geared for active older adults held at convenient times.
Make friends, THRIVE is a warm and welcoming community. Y’s host fun events at local restaurants and do community activities together.
Volunteer, THRIVE members also team up to volunteer at local YMCA events, such as the Families On! Challenge or tutoring for students in our Y Learning or Community Hope programs.

Game Nights
Join us every Thursday night in the NW Cary Y Lobby from 6 - 8 p.m. for cards and board games. Drop in and bring games/cards you'd like to play. This is a self service activity.

International Monthly Dinner Club
You are invited to join the International Trip Around the Triangle Group. We explore local international restaurants as they transport us to different countries through delicious cuisines. Participants will visit and support local international restaurants, meet the owners, learn about the country and culture. Get to know others as we “break bread” together.

December 3 - Chinese Lantern Festival, 4 - 7 p.m.
Celebrate the season with the THRIVE 55+ community as we enjoy the Chinese Lantern Festival at Koka Booth Amphitheatre, a spectacular holiday tradition! Wander through a glowing wonderland of handcrafted lanterns, dazzling lights and cultural artistry that brings the amphitheater to life. It’s the perfect way to embrace the festive spirit with friends and community. Meet at the Northwest CAry Y for transportation. Cost is $27 per person. A payment link will be sent out closer to the event date. Spots are limited.
