THRIVE at the Y!  Come to the Y to make friends, get active and give back to the community. YMCA THRIVE is geared toward active older adult YMCA members.

Game Days
Join us the first and third Tuesdays of the month in the Kraft Family Y Coffee Area from 2 - 4 p.m. for cards and board games. Drop in and bring games/cards you'd like to play.

Upcoming Gatherings


April 25 - Day Trip to Beaufort, NC 
We'll enjoy a Beaufort Double Decker Bus Tour, lunch, and shopping along the waterfront.  Cost: $80 for ticket and transportation. Lunch is self-pay. Transportation departs the Kraft Family YMCA at 7:30 a.m. and returns by 7:30 p.m.

MAY

May 8 - Sarah P. Duke Gardens and Duke Chapel Walk followed by lunch 
8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. Cost: $25. Lunch is self pay. Join us for a self-guided walk around Duke Gardens and Duke Chapel followed by lunch. Y transportation leaves the Kraft Family Y at 8:30 a.m. and returns by 2 p.m.

May 14 - Bunco at the Kraft Y 
11:45 a.m. - 1:45 p.m. No cost. Please sign up at the Welcome Desk to help us prepare. Join us for Bunco. This social dice game is simple to learn and offers lots of room for laughter, fun and fellowship! Snacks and water provided.

May 22 - South Wake Landfill Private Group Tour
9:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. - Cost: $25. Join us for a guided 90-minute bus tour of this interesting facility. Y transportation leaves the Kraft Family Y at 9:45 a.m. and returns by 12:45 p.m. Upon our return those wanting to have lunch together can drive independently to lunch.

JUNE

June 4 - Fraud Prevention and Awareness Workshop at the Kraft Family Y 
11:45 a.m. - 12:45 p,m. No cost. Optional: Bring a brown bag lunch. Sign up at the Welcome Desk to help us prepare. Detective David Bird, CFCI, has worked with the Cary Police Department since July 2011. He started an Elder Fraud Awareness outreach program in 2020 giving presentations to the Senior Community in the Apex-Cary-Morrisville area. Although all ages are welcome, those 50 and older may benefit most from this important educational opportunity.

June 6 - Two-hour Jordan Lake Sunset Cruise
Cost: $48 for ticket and transportation. Consider bringing dinner. Y transportation leaves the Kraft Family Y at 4:45 p.m. and returns by 8 p.m.

June 13 - Durham Bulls Baseball Game in Durham, NC 
Cost $37 for ticket and transportation. Dinner will be self pay at the game. Y transportation leaves the Kraft Family Y at 5 p.m. and returns by 10 p.m.
