How to reserve your spot in Group Fitness

Reserving your spot in a Group Fitness Class is simple! Just a few steps in our Mobile App and you're all set. Download our mobile app, then view this short how-to video. Then find your favorite class and get signed up. View available classes on our schedules page. Registration opens 48 hours prior to each class.

Modified Schedule

As we resume operations, our group exercise schedules will look a bit different. We’re committed to keeping everyone safe. We’ll continue to monitor information from local and state health officials and add more classes as conditions improve.

Smaller Classes

For now, group fitness classes will be limited in size. We’ll sanitize any equipment you need before and after class and will help you maintain social distancing throughout the class.

Membership & Reservations Required

YMCA membership is required to participate in classes. In order to accommodate everyone, all group fitness classes will require a reservation through our mobile app or online on our schedules page.

Reservations open 48 hours before the start of each class and are available until class starts or until all spaces are filled. There’s no fee to sign up, and once you are registered, please show your proof of membership.

Reservations are required for all classes and lap lanes.  Members of the same household may use the same lap lane during their reserved time (look for "Lap Lane | Single Lane" on our web/app schedules.) You only need to reserve your lane (up to two 30-minute increments per reserving user) under one person's name on our website or in our mobile app.

Canceling Reservations

We ask that if our members cannot attend a previously reserved class or lap lane, that you cancel your booking so others may attend. You can reference these screenshots if you need assistance. 

App and Schedule Notifications

Once you create an account, the app and scheduling system will use the email you provided to send you notifications about your reservations and cancellations. If you are not receiving these notifications, please check your spam folders and also ensure you provided us with an accurate, current email address you can check.

Password Reset

Your password reset instructions will be sent to the email address provided. If you are not receiving password reset instructions, please contact our Customer Service Center at 919-719-9989.

You can view this video walkthrough of signup through the app. We also have a handout that helps explain the process, and any of our branch staff can assist you with the process.
