The YMCA Weight Loss Program is designed to help adults seeking a healthier weight achieve their goals by making small, modest changes to their daily behaviors and forming sustainable, healthy habits.

Each week participants will weigh in, be introduced to a new topic relevant to weight loss, discuss as a group, successes, challenges, suggestions around the weekly topic, and develop goals for the upcoming week. Topics may include nutrition, physical activity, stress and sleep, positive psychology, goal setting and sustainability.

Because weight loss is unique to each person, the YMCA Weight Loss Program focuses on helping individuals identify ways to make small, modest changes to their behavior within the context of their own life and in support of their weight loss goals.

Wednesdays, June 5 - August 28, 2024
Downtown Durham YMCA, 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.

Tuesdays, June 4 - August 27, 2024
Alexander YMCA, 6 - 7 p.m.

Virtual Options:
Wednesdays, June 12 - September 4
Virtual, noon - 1 p.m.

Wednesdays, June 12 - September 4
Virtual, 7 - 8 p.m.

Tuesdays, June 11 - September 3
Virtual, noon - 1 p.m.

Programs require a minimum registration number. Program days and times are subject to change. The YMCA will notify enrollees of any changes.

YMCA Weight Loss is an evidence-based program offered through a Y Health Membership. A Y Health Membership is for anyone who needs access to quality, evidence-based programs, health coaching and workout facilities.
