Pickleball is a sport that uses elements of badminton, tennis and table tennis. Players use wooden paddles and a plastic ball with holes. The net is slightly modified and the court is smaller. 

Members, ages 16 and older, may join in on pickup Pickleball.

Please check branch gym schedules on the website or in the app to confirm days and times. Members are welcome to play at any branch.

Taylor Family YMCA: Outdoor Pickleball Courts

Wristband Policy
At the Taylor Family YMCA, beginning on May 1, 2023, all members and guests are required to check in at the front desk in the main building or at the pool desk to receive a colored wristband to use our outdoor pickleball courts. Guests may purchase a day pass to receive a wristband and to use our courts. Staff will be enforcing the wristband policy.

Pickleball Clinics
Pickleball Clinics at the Taylor Family YMCA are for members only. Check out our schedule on the YMCA App or the website for dates and times.

Downtown Durham YMCA

Drop-in pickleball for members is available Tuesdays, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Court 2 in the gymnasium. Paddles and balls are available from the front desk.

The Cage on the American Tobacco Campus

Drop-in pickleball is available on Thursdays, 4 - 5:30 p.m. Paddles and balls are available. YMCA members as well as ATC employees, tenants and residents are welcome!
