Update on Alexander Family YMCA Pool Heater (1/9/2026)
We want to share an important update regarding the pool heater at the Alexander Family YMCA. Unfortunately, repairs continue to take much longer than anticipated. We’ve been notified that several parts required for the fix are on backorder, and shipping delays have added to the timeline.
Current status:
- The pool remains open for lap swim and open swim for those who wish to use it.
- Water temperature is below 76 degrees.
- All swim lessons and water fitness classes continue to be suspended.
- Families registered for January swim lessons have received refunds.
At this time, we hope to have repairs completed in February and will keep you updated as we learn more.
We understand this is an inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work toward a resolution. In the meantime, we encourage you to explore other YMCA locations throughout our region for swim activities. Distance from the Alexander Y is noted in parentheses.
