YMCA Day of Giving: Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2025
The YMCA Day of Giving is a 24-hour giving challenge designed to add new donors, engage Y members and share our organization’s culture of philanthropy through individual, grassroots outreach efforts. At the mid-point of the 2025 Annual Campaign, our goals are to raise funds for the community through individual gifts and by cultivating new donors.
Before the Challenge
- Find the campaign you wish to raise money for below and click on "Become a Fundraiser."

- YMCA at Knightdale Station
- Make sure you're following the YMCA of the Triangle on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn
- Familiarize yourself with digital assets and templates available below
- Compile your list of donors that you plan to reach out to on behalf of the YMCA
During Challenge
- Make your gift
- Contact as many donors as possible on your assigned list and/or prior donors
- Utilize phone calls, texts, emails and Classy to make the ask
- Access digital assets and templates needed to make the ask
- Like, share and comment on YMCA social media content as it is posted on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn
After Challenge
- Thank your donors
- The Y will send a thank you video to all donors
- Evaluate what donors we still need to contact and/or follow up with throughout the remainder of the Annual Campaign
- Start a list of things that went well and opportunities for future improvement
