YMCA of the Triangle CEO Position Paper

The Opportunity

The Mission of the YMCA of the Triangle is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

With an operating budget in 2022 over $85M ($96M pre-Covid), service to seven counties across 22 branches, three overnight camps, 400+ full-time employees, 2,900+ part-time employees, 4,000+ volunteers, 75,000+ members and more than 190,000 constituents, the YMCA of the Triangle is one of the largest nonprofits in the Triangle region.

This is a remarkable and rare opportunity for an innovative leader to join an outstanding organization with solid financials, a strong brand and reputation, and a highly seasoned and experienced executive team and staff. The YMCA of the Triangle has a proven history and track record of expanding programs beyond a typical YMCA, and incessantly displays a desire to explore new ways of serving the Triangle and its communities in a relentless pursuit of its mission and purpose.

The CEO must bring inspiring and visionary leadership to all areas of the YMCA’s operations, providing oversight of the organization’s brand, operations, culture, values, talent and financial performance.
