Updated Mask Policy

The YMCA of the Triangle is dedicated to the safety and health of our members, our staff and our entire community. Since the onset of COVID-19 in our community, our Y has continually adapted programming and protocols to go above and beyond in keeping you safe.

All YMCA of the Triangle staff are required to wear masks indoors. Lifeguards who are rescue-ready are the only exception.

As we comply with local mandates, everyone must wear a mask inside YMCA locations and programs in Wake and Durham counties, the towns of Chapel Hill and Pittsboro.

The CDC and the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) now recommend that all individuals in areas of significant spread wear a mask indoors. Out of an abundance of caution, the YMCA of the Triangle will follow this guidance. We are updating this requirement due to increased community spread in our region and to ensure a strong, healthy staff team.

Thank you for joining the YMCA of the Triangle in keeping the community safe. Most of all, thank you for being a part of the YMCA.
