Join our Teen Wellness Club to get fit with like-minded teens who want to learn and practice the basics of maintaining a healthy mind, body and spirit. Middle and high schoolers ages 11 - 18 are invited to attend this program for free with their Y membership. Each class is unique. Intensity can be varied by adding weight, speed, impact or reducing stability. Check out our class components below.
Speed and Agility
This speed and agility class focuses on enhancing athletic performance through improved movement efficiency, focusing on rapid changes in direction, acceleration, and deceleration. It's designed for athletes of all levels who want to increase their speed, agility and overall athletic ability.
Mind and Body
This class focuses on strengthening the connection between mind and body. This class will discuss the importance of taking care of your body in order to protect your mind. While also learning practices like rest/recovery and fueling your body.
Weight Lifting Classes
Designed to improve strength, build muscle and learn proper technique. Participants will learn proper lifting techniques, safety protocols, and foundational exercises like squats, bench press and deadlifts. The class will also cover warm-up and cool-down procedures and individual goal setting.
Sport
A sport will be introduced, this could be anything from water polo to ultimate frisbee to kickball. The goal of this is to have fun while being physically active.
Register in the app or upon arrival
To ensure safety, Teens must be over 14 OR have completed the teen orientation. To ensure this we ask that participants register in the app or at the front desk upon arrival!
