The SAS Championship brings great golf to the Triangle and great benefits to area students.

Since 2010, proceeds from the SAS Championship have benefited Y Learning, the YMCA of the Triangle’s standardized after school tutorial program. Y Learning is free to participants thanks to contributions.

“We are so grateful for the support from SAS and the SAS Championship,” says Bruce Ham, YMCA of the Triangle Chief Development Officer. “Students in Y Learning receive daily homework assistance and academic support that they couldn't afford otherwise.”

Golf for Good
“The YMCA of the Triangle does amazing work in its service for our community,” said Jeff Kleiber, Tournament Director of the SAS Championship. "Y Learning, the camp offerings, the character and leadership development are major contributions toward serving the needs of our underserved children. We are thrilled to be able to support this truly wonderful organization.”

Since the SAS Championship began supporting the YMCA of the Triangle’s academic programs, more than 8,000 students have participated in programs that bridge the achievement gap.  The Tournament annually contributes the single-largest donation to the Y Learning.

The YMCA is proud to be the host charity of the SAS Championship. In 2018, the SAS Championship will exceed the $4 million threshold of donations to area youth educational initiatives.
