Our Programs
The YMCA has half-day preschool summer camps for toddlers through rising kindergartners. Our Wee Camps are for ages 2-3 and Kindercamp is for age 3 through rising grade K. Both are filled with caring counselors, activities, songs and water play.
Our Staff
Preschool summer camp counselors are young adults who enjoy working with young children. Each camp location has a full-time YMCA camp director as well as part-time counselors. Our staff goes through a mandatory 30-40 hour training before camp starts.
Campers
All YMCA preschool campers are placed together in small groups we call huddles. Each huddle is based on age and has one or two youth counselors who spend the day with their huddle. Campers move from activity to activity with their counselors

Kindercamp
YMCA Kindercamp is for ages 3 through rising kindergarten with locations in Raleigh, Durham, Apex, Cary and Chapel Hill. Kindercamp is half-day with campers spending the morning with the YMCA and dismissing after lunch. It's a day filled with games, crafts, circle time and new friends. Kindercampers have water play during the week which can be time in a YMCA toddler pool or baby pools, buckets and toys. All YMCA pools including our toddler areas are monitored by YMCA lifeguards.
Wee Camp
YMCA Wee Camp is a half-day summer camp for ages 2 - 3. These young campers receive lots of care and attention as they move through their day. Campers are grouped together based on age and move through their activities with their huddle and counselors. Activities include circle time, games, crafts, water play and more. Wee Campers do not need to be potty trained.
