Summer 2026
YMCA traditional Summer Day Camps are packed with activities, games and fun. Campers spend the day swimming, creating crafts and art, playing sports like kickball, pickup basketball, and soccer and playing games like gaga ball and capture the flag. Campers spend time inside and outside during the day depending on the weather and activity. Read more about a typical day at YMCA Day Camp.
All campers are encouraged to try everything, to do their best and are led by a team of YMCA youth staff and counselors.
Campers take two fun field trips each week, and have swim time at our outdoor pool every day! YMCA at Meadowmont Day Camp is open to campers in rising grades K – 6.
Meadowmont Day Camp is located at the YMCA at Meadowmont, 301 Old Barn Lane, Chapel Hill, NC.

Meadowmont Day Camp FAQ
Rides In: Drop-off is from 7 to 8:55 a.m.
Rides Out: Pick-up is from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
Pick-Up Slips: One way we keep Rides Out efficient and organized is with our Authorized Pick-Up Slips that we will hand out on Monday mornings. We ask that you have your pick-up slip visible for our staff to see upon your arrival.
In the case that a parent/ guardian picking up a camper does not have their pick-up slip, an ID check will be required.
Below is an approximate daily schedule for our camp. Activity blocks may include sports, crafts, archery, outside time, etc.
This is provided to help families plan for appointments outside of day camp. Times are subject to change based on weather and special activities.
Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays
Rides In: 7 – 9 a.m.
Morning Assembly: 9 - 9:30 a.m.
Activity Block 1: 9:30 - 10 a.m.
Morning Snack: 10 - 10:30 a.m.
Change & Pool Time: 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Lunch: 12:30 – 1 p.m.
Activity Block 2: 1 – 1:30 p.m.
Activity Block 3/ Open Programming: 1 - 2:30 p.m.
Afternoon Snack: 2:30 - 3:00 p.m.
Activity Block 4: 3:00 - 3:30 p.m.
Huddle/ Bead Time 3:30 - 4 p.m.
