Camp Outer Limits

We are already planning for the summer and we can’t wait to see your children in 2024! Registration opens Jan. 1 for members and Jan. 15 for non-members.

YMCA traditional Summer Day Camps are packed with activities, games and fun. Campers spend the day swimming, creating crafts and art, playing sports like kickball, pickup basketball, and soccer and playing games like gaga ball and capture the flag. Campers spend time inside and outside during the day depending on the weather and activity. Read more about a typical day at YMCA Day Camp.

All campers are encouraged to try everything, to do their best and are led by a team of YMCA youth staff and counselors.

Middle school campers enjoy age-appropriate independence and choose from a variety of activities, including community service projects and team-building exercises.

Camp Outer Limits is located at Mills Park Middle School and is open to kids in rising grades K - 8.

Camp Outer Limits is operated by the Northwest Cary YMCA.

Camp Theme Descriptions:

Once Upon a Time Week
Join us for our first magical week of camp as we welcome all our princes, princesses, knights, and dragons back to camp. This week will be full of story-based adventures and tales of bravery as we enter into our fairytales!  
 
Welcome to the Outer Limits Week
Blast off with us for our second week of camp and our first week at Mills Park Middle School. This week we will travel to the outer edges of the galaxy and engage in all kinds of space exploration!  
 
Carnival Week
The carnival has come to town! This week will be our most high flying and acrobatic week yet.     
 
Holiday Hoopla Week  
It's Christmas in July... and Halloween...and Valentines day.. and St. Patrick's day...and so much more! Join us for our most festive week of camp this summer.  
 
Another Day in Paradise Week 
Just another day in paradise here at Camp Outer Limits! Join us for a topical fun week in the sun. This week at camp we will have some fun on island time!  
 
Lights, Camera, Action! Week
Join us for a fun week where we will dive into our favorite movies and scenes!  
 
Shark Week  
Duh Duh...Duh Duh....Duhduhduhduh.. It's Shark Week at Camp Outer Limits! Join us as we explore the wonders of the sea and go on a wild underwater adventure!  
 
Spirit Week
Join us for a good old-fashioned spirit week. This week, each day of camp will have a different themed dress up day that campers are invited to participate in. We'll also get to compete in different field day games each day!  
 
Jurassic Week   
It’s our last week to roam the world of Mills Park Middle School. We will walk with dinosaurs! We will travel to the land before time and enter a Jurassic world.   
 
G.O.A.T. Week
This summer was the greatest of all time! Join us for our final week of the summer as we flash back to our greatest hits from this year. We’ll revisit all of our favorite camp games and activities to close out Summer 2023.
