Summer 2026

YMCA traditional Summer Day Camps are packed with activities, games and fun. Campers spend the majority of the day outside on our beautiful campus swimming, creating crafts and art, playing sports like kickball, pickup basketball, and soccer and playing games like gaga ball and capture the flag. Part of the camp day may be enjoyed inside depending on the weather and activity. Read more about a typical day at YMCA Day Camp.

All campers are encouraged to try everything, to do their best and are led by a team of YMCA youth staff and counselors.

Weekly themes add variety while the core activities are maintained. Campers dress up for Thrilltastic Thursdays according to the weekly themes.

You can read more about how we operate our day camps in the YMCA Parent Manual. Details include safety information and links to our medication forms and packing lists. You can also review our Camp FAQ.

Camp Crossroads is open to kids in rising grades K - 8, ages 5 - 14 years old. It's located at the Kraft Family YMCA.

Meet our amazing camp staff this year!

Meet Brandi

Hi! I'm Brandi and I am the Director for Camp Crossroads! I graduated from Western Carolina University (Go Cats) and have worked at the YMCA for 4 years. I enjoy cheering on the Carolina Hurricanes with my family, playing golf and snuggling up to watch a good movie with my cat, Leo. I am excited to spend the summer getting to know you and your wonderful children!

Meet the rest of our staff!

Meet Madi

Hi! I'm Madi and I am the Assistant Director for Camp Crossroads! I started working for the YMCA in February, but have worked with many non-profits, including Read & Feed and Girls on the Run. I enjoy spending time outside hiking and fishing, I love all genres of cuisine (a big foodie) and I recently completed my first half-marathon. I am looking forward to ensuring quality and safe programming at Camp Crossroads this summer!
