Camp Clearwater
Camp Clearwater is an experience just like the summer camps you remember as a kid, but with a modern twist. These camps offer the fun of being outdoors and give kids the opportunity to take part in traditional camp activities like archery, canoeing, and field games.
Located on 26 acres in southeast Orange County, Camp Clearwater provides an exciting, safe place for kids to explore outdoors, build self-esteem and make lasting friendships. Our counselors focus on teaching YMCA core values like caring, honesty, respect and responsibility through teambuilding activities and challenges. Camp Clearwater is open for campers in rising grade 1 - 8.
Camp Clearwater is operated through the Chapel Hill-Carrboro YMCA.

Our Counselors
YMCA Summer Day Camp Counselors are hired based on their enthusiasm, energy and maturity. All counselors receive training in everything from managing a group of energetic kids to basic first aid.
