Traditional Day Camps

Traditional YMCA Summer Day Camps are full-day summer camps held at YMCAs and community locations around the Triangle. These summer camps include a wide variety of activities such as swimming, games, arts and crafts and sports.

Each week of summer camp features a different theme and activities.

Our YMCA youth staff members are young adults in high school or college many of whom were campers themselves. They are hard-working, fun and caring role models.

Summer 2021

We can’t wait for a safe, strong summer for your children in 2021.

While YMCA of the Triangle Summer Day Camp will look a bit different from years’ past, you can count on the same safe, high-quality, fun-filled camp that you’ve come to know and trust. And, we’ll continue to adapt programming and protocols to go above and beyond in keeping your child safe.

Read all about our current, safety protocols for youth programs and in our YMCA facilities. We can’t wait to see your children next summer. After all, a strong summer means strong kids.

Come Back for Fall

Register for five or more weeks of Summer Day Camp by May 31 and receive 50% off one fall 2021 sports registration. The five or more weeks of camp registrations must be for one camper. Only this camper may use the discounted sports registration.

Sign Up for our Virtual Family Night

YMCA Summer Day Camp is packed with time-honored traditions. One of our favorites is Family Night where campers share day camp fun with parents and friends. We're inviting you to join us for Virtual Family Night on Thursday, April 22 at 7 p.m.

During this event, you’ll learn more about favorite camp traditions and fun activities we'll offer this summer. We’ll share more about what makes Y Summer Day Camp special and how we’re working harder than ever to keep campers safe.
