PROGRAM INFORMATION
YMCA School Holiday Camps are offered on most Wake and Johnston County teacher workdays and holidays. The program operates at our YMCAs in Wake, Durham, Chatham and Johnston Counties. Each day children spend time swimming (weather permitting), playing games, participating in sports and arts and crafts.
Children are grouped together by age and grade and spend the day with their peers and YMCA youth staff and counselors. There is plenty of outside time, STEM activities and active fun to keep your child engaged all day long.
YMCA School Holiday Camp operates from 7 a.m.* - 6 p.m. and is offered for ages 5 - 14, kindergarten through grade 8.
*7:30 a.m. start time at Alexander Family YMCA, Chapel Hill - Carrboro YMCA, Chatham YMCA, Northwest Cary YMCA, Southeast Raleigh YMCA & Lakewood YMCA programs.
What to Bring
Two snacks, a water bottle, a lunch and of course a positive attitude and a lot of energy! And a swimsuit on swim days, closed-toe shoes and a backpack to carry everything around in.
