Improving Health Outcomes

Community Health depends on individual health. Through Y Health programs, we teach, equip and provide resources and opportunities to children, adults and families so they can live healthy and be well.

Pre-pandemic 88 million Americans were prediabetic. Today, 96 million are prediabetic.

Mary Katheryn

After the birth of her second child, Mary Katheryn struggled to keep pace with her energetic youngsters and she enrolled in the YMCA Weight Loss program.

Through group instruction, one-on-one health coaching, virtual and in-person evidence-based programming, Mary Katheryn found what she was looking for and more.

"The Y changed me for good. I found a community of support and people who understood.  I work out 4 - 5 times a week, which I never thought I would. I've learned to stick with it, to keep a consistent routine. Even when stress comes my way, I use it as a motivational factor."
