During this crisis, the YMCA is partnering with many food relief agencies to help package and deliver food wherever its most needed.
Kraft Family YMCA
On April 8, the Kraft Family YMCA was called into service through the first Delivering Good mission. Within two days, more than 25 senior citizens and adults received 40 pounds of food in collaboration with the Western Wake Crisis Ministry.
Southeast Raleigh YMCA
In partnership with the Southeast Raleigh Promise, more than 600 families received a box of canned goods and fresh vegetables on April 4.
Taylor Family YMCA
The Taylor Y linked arms with Dorcas Ministries of Cary to distribute food on April 8. YMCA staff picked up 222 food items that had been donated by members and delivered it to stock the food pantry at Dorcas. The Y will be picking up food donations from members who want to participate every Wednesday and Friday. To get involved, contact Mike Hubbell.
