We can't do it alone. Thanks to partners like Wells Fargo, our YMCA is able to serve the children who need us most.
A three-year $100,000 contribution from Wells Fargo allows our YMCA to provide Y Learning at four school sites in Central Raleigh, North Raleigh, Durham and Cary. Y Learning is the YMCA's standardized tutorial program.
PARTNER IN EDUCATION
The YMCA is proud to call Wells Fargo our Partner in Education. Many Wells Fargo, employees like Jack Clayton, are long-time YMCA members and volunteers.
“At Wells Fargo, we believe in supporting the communities where our team members live and work,” says Jack Clayton, executive vice president and regional president of Wells Fargo’s Triangle East Region. “We are not going to be successful as an organization if the communities where we live and work are not successful, thriving and growing.
A REAL RETURN ON AN INVESTMENT
Wells Fargo executives say they see a return on their investment in the Y.
"The Partner in Education program with the YMCA is a tremendous way for us to help invest in education and the next generation. The kids involved in the Partner in Education programs will be the next community and business leaders,” says Jerry Bowen, executive vice president of Wells Fargo Dealer Services and an Annual Campaign campaign volunteer since 1994. “I have been fortunate enough to see the various programs the campaign funds and more importantly see the positive impact the programs have on families.”
As a YMCA member since 2005, Diane Becton sees results first-hand.
“The Y has helped my children be successful in their lives as well as helping them become great community volunteers and leaders,” says Becton, Senior Vice President of Client Experience Director. “I want this same opportunity for other children. I am so proud to be part of an organization and campaign that is dedicated to helping families and children be successful.”
