YMCA Honors Veterans with Branch Events

The YMCA of the Triangle is honored to recognize veterans and active duty military with events across several of our branches in the days leading up to and including Veterans Day.

Alexander Family YMCA
The Alexander YMCA invites Y members who are veterans to celebrate their service to our nation. We will share a light breakfast and a short program including a special guest speaker. Please visit our event page for more information.

Ingram Family YMCA
We would like to honor all of our veterans by creating a Tribute Wall to be displayed at the Ingram Family Y. Fill out a star with your or a loved one's name and rank to hang on your military branch flag. Coffee will be served on Veterans Day, Nov. 11.

Kraft Family YMCA
Join us in celebrating our veterans at the Kraft Family YMCA with a Wall of Honor display Nov. 10 - 16. To honor a veteran, submit their picture, name, years of service and branch served to Kevin Stewart.

Northwest Cary YMCA
We would like to honor all of our veterans by creating a Wall of Honor to be displayed at the Northwest Cary Y during the week of Nov. 6 - 13. If you would like to have your picture or the picture of a loved one posted to our Wall of Honor, please visit our event page for more information.

Taylor Family YMCA
A Veterans Day Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 11 at 10 a.m. to honor those who have served our country. Join us for a flag raising ceremony from the Cary High ROTC promptly at 10 a.m., and the Saint Andrew's choir will sing the armed forces medley. Afterwards, join us for coffee, fellowship and light refreshments. Members are also invited to display their photo or a photo of a loved one who has served on our Wall of Honor.
