Thrive at the Y! Come to the Y to make friends, get active and volunteer (give back to the community). YMCA THRIVE is geared toward active older adult YMCA members.
Get active, and join a THRIVE group fitness class. In THRIVE group fitness classes, you will find workouts geared for active older adults held at convenient times.
Make friends, THRIVE is a warm and welcoming community. Y’s host fun events at local restaurants and do community activities together.
Volunteer, THRIVE members also team up to volunteer at local YMCA events, such as the Families On! Challenge or tutoring for students in our Y Learning or Community Hope programs.

UPCOMING THRIVE EVENTS:
June 21: Meet at Drive Shack from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a fun, interactive golf game and enjoy lunch together (self-pay). Cost is $3/hour per person. We plan to play for 1 hour. Address: 6901 Play Golf Way, Raleigh, NC 27607
July 20: We will have morning games and a potluck lunch. Join us from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. as we play games (Bingo, Bunko, cards, etc), win prizes and enjoy lunch. Please bring a shared dish.
August 17: We are meeting at R3 Wellness at 10 a.m. to experience and learn about the 3 Rs. Rehab, recover and relax through metaphysical products and holistic wellness services. Enjoy a free sample of HydroMassage. We will create a Zen garden made with precious stones to take home and display your mini Zen garden. Some benefits of a Zen garden are to relieve stress, practice meditation, develop a sense of beauty, enhance creative flow and cultivate discipline. Meditation has proven to lower blood pressure and improve your immune system when practiced regularly. Come and learn how R3 Wellness can help support your rehabilitation, recovery and relaxation.
