After School
At YMCA After School, kids expand their learning beyond the classroom. We use a balanced curriculum that supports learning through active play and a focus on character development and social-emotional learning. We also offer a quiet space and support for students to work on their homework Monday through Thursday afternoons.
During the week, students will participate in a variety of enrichment activities with opportunities for skill development, physical activity and fun.
After School is held from school dismissal until 6 p.m.
Location
The Wake Forest Charter Academy after school program is held at the Kerr Family YMCA. Transportation is provided by the YMCA and pick up is at the YMCA.

Both yearly and weekly options allow you to register for fewer than five days per week. Prices are adjusted based on the number of days. The cost per day increases when fewer than five days a week are chosen.

Our Staff
YMCA counselors are energetic and enjoy working with children. We train our counselors to be leaders and positive role models. Most are high school and college-aged students.

Please read our school programs parent manual. Each After School program will send a weekly email to parents about activities for that week.
