Cancellations & Refunds
What if I need to cancel a sports, swim lesson or wellness program?
In order to cancel, the YMCA must receive a written notice prior to the start of the program. After the program starts, no refund is available. Non-attendance, without written notice, does not relieve you of the responsibility to pay for the program.
With written notice prior to the start of the program, a customer is charged a $10 non-refundable cancelation fee and the remainder of the fee paid is refunded. After the program begins, no refund is available.
What is the YMCA's refund policy?
Customers must cancel programs before refunds can be issued. In order to cancel, the YMCA must receive a written notice prior to the start of the program. All programs are assessed a $10 cancelation fee, which is taken off the program fee. If a refund is due, the refund will first be applied to any past due balances (program fees, membership dues, etc.). All refunds are issued to the original form of payment. Refunds are issued within two weeks of cancelation.
Not attending the program does not entitle you to a refund. When you enroll yourself or your child, you are reserving space, time and staffing whether or not you or your child attends the program.
If I am on a waitlist, how will I know if my child gets in?
If you purchased a waitlisted sports, aquatics and wellness program, the YMCA will contact you to confirm your status prior to the start of the program. If space does not become available, you will receive a full refund.
