AFTER SCHOOL
YMCA After School programs prepare children to be problem solvers by providing them with the skills needed to manage their emotions and show empathy toward others. Each day, we offer a variety of activities that allow your children to build new skills and healthy habits. Our curriculum supports learning through active play and a focus on character development.
We offer quiet spaces and support for students to work on their homework Monday through Thursday afternoons.
During the week, students will participate in a variety of enrichment activities with opportunities for skill development, physical activity and fun.
After School is held from school dismissal until 6 p.m. at the Chapel Hill - Carrboro YMCA. Transportation is available by bus from all CHCCS elementary schools.
COST & REGISTRATION
Prices are adjusted based on the number of days. The cost per day increases when fewer than five days a week are chosen.

$3,929.78 (Participant, 5-day)
*Registration for the 2024 - 2025 school year is expected to begin on May 1 for YMCA members and May 15 for all interested participants.
OUR STAFF
YMCA counselors are energetic and enjoy working with children. We train our counselors to be leaders and positive role models. Most are high school and college-aged students.
