The YMCA Boys and Young Men of Color (BYMOC) initiative builds on, and invests in, pathways to success that will inspire and transform personal identities so that boys and young men of color reach their full potential.

Program Objectives

Through this initiative, the YMCA hopes to recreate the kind of equitable communities shown to improve the well-being of boys and young men of color ages 11 - 18, individually and collectively so they can achieve economic and social mobility to adulthood.

Activities

BYMOC participants will engage in social-emotional learning, rites of passage, cultural awareness, racial equity, sporting events, community service, hip hop chess, public speaking, education, and college readiness.
