Youth Futsal

The YMCA offers a recreational futsal program designed to give players extra experience during a time when soccer is usually out of season.

Futsal is a variation of indoor soccer that is widely played across the world and is recognized by FIFA and other major organizations. This fast-paced game provides unique opportunities for players to develop in precision, decision making, ball control and skillful, creative play. Smaller team sizes result in a much better all-around understanding of the game, as well as more touches on the ball.

The program will develop dribbling, passing, and finishing techniques while instilling confidence necessary to succeed in outdoor soccer.

Summer Futsal Academy

Sessions run June 22 - August 6, 2021. We will meet for 1 hour each week. They will consist of a skill development component and game play (this format is still being finalized and may change). Click on the registration link to see days and times for each branch. Registration is currently open.

Like everyone, we are keeping up with the latest North Carolina and CDC guidelines around COVID safety. Please be sure to check our Youth Sports Health and Safety page for the latest information.

Teams are formed based on age. Please refer to our age chart to determine your child's age group.

YMCA futsal may combine younger players to form complete teams. Futsal leagues focus on small skill sessions and games, rather than a traditional practice/ game schedule.
