The YMCA offers baseball, softball and tee-ball. Depending on age and location, teams may be coach pitch, machine pitch or off the tee, and practices and game schedules may vary.
YMCA youth sports provide opportunities for camaraderie, building skills and character development. We aim to keep kids moving and focus on their health and well-being.
Teams are formed based on ages U5 - U13. See below for details and locations. Please refer to our age chart to determine your child's age group league.
Players must have a glove to play. Each player receives a team jersey and hat.

Spring Season: May 8 - June 27
Tee-ball: U5, U6, U7
Baseball: U9, U11, U13
Softball: U9, U11, U13
Chapel Hill - Carrboro YMCA
Spring Season: April 25 - June 13
Tee-ball: U4, U6.
All divisions practice and play games on Saturdays.
Kerr Family YMCA
Spring Season: May 4 - June 25
Tee-ball: U5, U7
Practice and games are held at the Miracle League Raleigh Ballfield. (no cleats are allowed on this field)
Kraft Family YMCA
Spring Season: April 20 - June 20
Tee-ball: U5, U7
During the registration process, you will be asked about your practice night preference. As YMCA teams are coached by volunteers, specific practice nights are determined after teams form depend on coach availability.
Youth baseball, tee-ball and softball teams are led by volunteer coaches. All volunteer coaches undergo a background check and training. Opportunities are available for coaches and assistant coaches at all locations.
YMCA tee-ball, baseball and softball leagues play in the spring and summer and registration opens in January and March.
