If you have a desire to run a 5k or beyond, YMCA race training will get you up and on your way.
Learn the basics of running through the practice of form drills, running intervals and eventually, non-stop running. Proper form and technique is emphasized so that participants can maximize enjoyment and minimize is open to anyone who is interested in fulfilling a lifetime goal: to run a marathon, half marathon, 5K or just get started.
The training group welcomes all levels, from beginners to Boston qualifiers. Pace groups are set up to ensure a comfortable and safe training pace that meets everyone’s ability.
Race Training is free program offered through the YMCA of the Triangle.
Additionally the YMCA specifically trains members for the certain Triangle area races and triathlons.
