Pilates and Yoga

Yoga classes are offered at every YMCA location. We teach beginner and intermediate yoga, flow yoga, a gentle yoga, power yoga and even a chair yoga for seniors. 

YMCA Yoga classes include stretches and poses that strengthen the physical body and breathing techniques to strengthen the mind. Each YMCA yoga class is designed with different participants in mind. More advanced members can take advantage of flow and power yoga classes while beginners can learn skills and poses in beginner classes.

Chair yoga is designed for seniors and those with limited mobility. Rather than participating on the floor with a mat, members sit in a chair and complete poses and stretches. 

YMCA Yoga and Pilates classes will help you develop flexibility, strength and balance. By emphasizing symmetry of body and mind, classes will improve your body awareness, helping you live more comfortably.


The ancient art of yoga is known to increase flexibility, improve endurance and reduce stress. Guided poses and a focus on controlled, mindful breathing will help people of all exercise levels find balance.


The Pilates method is a full body exercise system that emphasizes body alignment, correct breathing and core strength. By developing proper technique, you can actually retrain your body to move in safer and more efficient patterns of motion. 

Pilates is designed for individuals of all ages who want to improve strength and flexibility without building bulk. It’s also a great class for people who are at various stages of physical rehabilitation.
