Mission & Service Trips

YMCA youth travel programs are educational experiences that focus on social responsibility for teens both in North Carolina and beyond.

The goals for our youth travel programs are to build communities that nurture personal growth in spirit, mind and body. These programs have been designed to foster responsible citizenship, healthy lifestyles, environmental stewardship, international understanding, service and respect for individual differences. We work with a company called Youth Services Opportunities Project (YSOP) that organizes mission trips for various groups. The YMCA has worked with YSOP for many years.
