Taylor Family YMCA – Track Out Camp

Go on new adventures all year at the Taylor Family YMCA's enhanced Track Out Camps. We have new themes, field trip adventures and learning experiences.

YMCA Track Out Camps are the perfect place for your year-round student to find friendship, think creatively, build confidence, learn new skills, stay active and have fun during their break from school.

Kids stay on the go each week with activities like team-building, creative arts, sports, games and STEM activities. Each week, or session, is a new theme with field trips including our overnight adventure to YMCA Camp Seafarer on the North Carolina coast.

Current Track

Track 1 is currently in session through March 29. Our theme weeks include:

Around the World in 5 Days/ Irish Dance, March 11 - 15
Each day is a different continent for learning, games and creative arts. Campers will learn how to make a food dish from different countries, and we'll create our own passports for adventure. New this week as well is Irish Dance! Campers can spend from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. learning the basics of Irish Dance from a former Riverdance performer and world champion. Campers who participate in Irish Dance may also be invited to perform with Triggle Academy dancers in the Raleigh Saint Patrick's Day parade.

STEM, Robotics, Drones - Oh My!, March 18 - 22
Campers can create their own robot and use circuit Legos to build robotic creations. Theme-based activities include cardboard robotics, paper mache volcanos, ipad coding, imagination station, craft stick engineering, lego challenge cards and more! We may have an Inventors Fair at the end of the week so campers can show off their creations. Field trips may include Pullen Park, (K/1), Bowling (2/3), United Skates STEM Experience (4/5) or N.C. State Hunt Library tour (6-8).

Zaney Zoo, March 25 - 29
Each day at the YMCA Zaney Zoo features a different type of animal, reptile, mammal or amphibian. Field Trips this week may include the Traveling Tortoise (K/1 in house), Aloha Zoo (2/3), NC Zoo (4/5) or the Greensboro Science Center (6-8).
