Camp Bull Run Specialty Camp

Do you have a camper with more specific interests in mind? Looking for ways to engage your child in new and different past times? Our Specialty Camp Extras fit the bill.

These special weeks give campers the opportunity to focus more on new and different activities while still being a part of the larger Camp Bull Run. Days are split between traditional camp activities, and the chosen focus of the week. See themes of our Fees & Dates tab. Specialty Camps are open to campers in rising grades K – 5. Camp Bull Run is operated through the Durham YMCA.

OUR STAFF

YMCA summer day camp staff are ages 16 through early college. Most were campers themselves. Each YMCA camp counselor is hand-picked for their enthusiasm, energy, eye for safety and maturity. All counselors go through 30 hours of hands on training in everything from managing a group of energetic kids to basic first aid.
