For more than 160 years, the YMCA of the Triangle has strengthened the foundations of the communities we serve. We're proud of our diverse community and are passionate about being a positive force for good.
We're committed to nurturing the potential of children through Youth Development, improving the nation’s health and well-being by promoting Healthy Living, and fostering a sense of Social Responsibility by providing opportunities to give back and support neighbors.
Our Mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
Our Mission compels us to embrace, reflect and celebrate the richness of diversity within each other and the many communities we serve. In that Christian principles are caring and inclusive, we are respectful of various expressions of faith and serve families and individuals from all traditions, backgrounds and perspectives. Together, we work to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential with dignity at our YMCA.
Serving Johnston County
For more than 25 years, we have served thousands of adults, children and families in Johnston County through YMCA youth sports, after school programs and summer day camp.
Currently, the Y offers youth soccer, flag football, basketball and teeball throughout the year and runs three after school programs including Riverwood Elementary and Riverwood Middle and River Dell Elementary.
During the summer, we offer YMCA Summer Day Camp at East Clayton Elementary and Cleveland Middle School.
For years, the Johnston County YMCA has looked for a permanent facility to expand health and wellness programs for all ages. The generous gift of the Pineville Club from Rebecca Flowers will provide a significant opportunity to serve the broader community and the families of Johnston County through expanded YMCA health and wellness programs.
