Mobile Market Goodness

Tuesday, January 27, 2015

The Mobile Market at St. Augusta Missionary Baptist Church in Fuquay Varina brings the community together to provide healthy food to families in need.

Kraft Family YMCA volunteers work with the church and Interfaith Food Shuttle to create a farmer’s market atmosphere with fresh fruits, vegetables and groceries at no cost.
The next market is August 7 from 5 – 6 p.m.

Volunteers are needed the first of Tuesday of each month for the Mobile Market.  You receive on the job training with set-up at 3:30 p.m. Distribution starts at 5 p.m. and clean-up is from 6 – 7 p.m.
Volunteers are needed to make deliveries to sick and shut-in families. You can pack up boxes and bring the good food from the market to families. This experience is guaranteed to put a smile on their faces and yours too.
Local businesses can provide tables, bags and hairnets. Contact Scoop Green to learn more and sign up to volunteer.
