Connection to Career: Teen & Young Adult Fellowship
Southeast Raleigh YMCA is thrilled to announce a new initiative for teens & young adults, our Connection to Career: Teen & Young Adult Fellowship. This program is a 3-month immersive, cohort-based program for teens ages 16 and older offered at no cost to selected participants. The Fellowship brings together a diverse group of up to 20 teens and provides them with the tools, feedback and guidance needed to experiment, collaborate and grow as a leader all while exploring job opportunities as they work alongside industry professionals. Participants leave the program with stronger communication and analytical skills, more confidence and a network of eager community partners looking to support their career development.

Fellows meet for group sessions once a week at Southeast Raleigh YMCA (with breaks aligned with school calendars)
• Part One: Personal and professional development focusing on areas such as confidence building, SMART goal setting, and financial literacy, informational interviews with community and civic leaders, and site visits for place-based learning.
• Part Two: Two-month paid internship placement with a private, public, nonprofit, or labor organization.
