$425,002 Raised For Our Community!

Friday, November 16, 2018

We are humbled by the efforts of our volunteers and staff to make this year's YMCA Annual Campaign a success!

Over the last five and a half weeks, the Chapel Hill - Carrboro YMCA - under the leadership of campaign chairs Christi & Larry Fedora - raised a grand total of $425,002 to help transform lives in our community! The mission of the YMCA requires us to take on the challenges that face our friends and neighbors and the efforts of our volunteers are an incredible example of our mission in action.

Funds raised by the Annual Campaign go toward programs like Summer Day Camp and After School for underserved youth, LIVESTRONG at the YMCA for cancer survivors, YMCA Diabetes Prevention, youth sports and Y Learning, a program that provides educational support to help close the achievement gap. These and many other programs impacted by the campaign aim to serve the YMCA's areas of focus: Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility.

The campaign is led by volunteers and staff that are challenged to raise money by sharing the "Y Story" in their community.

We would like to share a heartfelt Thank You for all of your hard work. We are humbled and grateful by our YMCA family and its investment in our community.
