The Partners: Hargett Place and the Southeast Raleigh YMCA
Hyde Street Holdings is the developer of Hargett Place and Greg Paul Builders is the builder of Hargett Place, a first-of-its-kind neighborhood where southern luxury meets urban living in Raleigh’s burgeoning downtown. Hargett Place is a collaboration among some of Raleigh’s most creative and community-oriented people and organizations.
Trish and John Healy of Hyde Street Holdings, creators of the Designer Showcase Home event, were inspired by excitement around the development of Hargett Place. The mission behind the event is to drive support for growth in downtown Raleigh. And more specifically, for neighbor and long-time personal cause of the couple, the Southeast Raleigh YMCA.
“First and foremost, Hargett Place is part of a dynamic neighborhood, and we want to participate in the success of all our neighbors,” says Trish. “Downtown means all of downtown, and we believe the Southeast Raleigh YMCA will anchor the eastern border of our growing community with an incredible mix of uses.”
About the Southeast Raleigh YMCA
The collective vision for Southeast Raleigh is a partnership among organizations that invest in neighborhoods to create a community that will include a YMCA, an elementary school, mixed-income housing and commercial spaces.
Our first step in this project was the purchase of land on Rock Quarry Road near Interstate 40 to serve as the YMCA Beacon site.
This bold vision requires a bold investment. Gifts to our capital campaign will make it possible to build and sustain a YMCA facility in Southeast Raleigh.
