Our Babysitting Course teaches participants the necessary skills to provide safe, responsible child care in the absence of parents or guardians. This training helps youth develop personal professionalism as well as skills in basic care, ages and stages, safe play and first aid.

Happy Birthday "Giving Party"

It's a party "on the go!" Join us as we create individual birthday boxes filled with small gifts, cards and goody bags to be donated to children in need in our community. Help a child celebrate their special day--their birthday--while sharing time together as a family.
We'll provide the cards, wrapping materials and goody bags to include in each birthday box. Please bring a gently used book, a box of cake mix, a can of frosting, a package of candles and a shoe box for your items. Add your own personal touch!

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny

Join us for breakfast with our cotton-tailed friend, the Easter Bunny. Get your picture taken with the bunny himself, enjoy a spirited Easter egg hunt and dive into kid-friendly crafts, like crazy egg-decorating! We will hold an egg hunt appropriate for our youngest tots followed by a second, more challenging hunt for our elementary-aged kids. Fun for the whole family!

Fall Parents' Night Out

Parents' Night Out is an opportunity for parents to spend quality time to gether while kids enjoy a variety of fun activities at the YMCA. Walk the plank, search for hidden treasure and find Cinderella's lost slipper. Party-goers will enjoy themed crafts, fun games and a movie to boot. Dinner will be served to the liking of all hungry princesses and famished pirates.

"Field Gleaning Fun" Family Service Project

Connect with your family, teach your children the value of service and make a difference for members of our community who are less fortunate. Join us as we travel to a local farm to "glean" crops. Produce will be distributed to families throughout our community.

Family Fall Festival

An evening of fun fall activities for the whole family! Bring the kids out for an afternoon of themed autum festivities, like professional face painting, games, a bouncy house, an inflatable obstacle course, fall crafts--best of all--the Haunted Bus!

This is a free event, but we will be collecting canned food and non-perishables for our community in partnership with Inter-Faith Food Shuttle. Families will be encouraged to bring donations the day of the event. Have fun and help a family in need!
Shop 'Til You Drop Parents' Night Out

It's that time of year! As the holidays approach, we are prepared to look after your little ones while you finish up the Christmas shopping. Drop your kids off at the Alexander Y for a day of holiday-themed activities that will be sure to drum up some holiday spirit. Activities include crafts, games, snacks and a movie.
