Activities

More things to do than you can shake a stick at. And more fun, too. Unless you like shaking sticks. There’s time for that, too.

Fact is, Camp Kanata offers a whole range of activities designed to challenge and inspire each camper. (That’s parent-speak for “they’re a lot of fun.”) On Sunday evenings, a camp orientation gives kids an overview of all the activities offered that week – an event that finishes off with our soon-to-be-world-renowned “Fireball Carnival.” Then campers get to choose four activities to do, two in the morning and two in the afternoon.

Kanata staff emphasizes skill development, and encourages each camper’s growth in self-knowledge and self-esteem. Kids can take part in both group and individual activities. Only friendly competition is allowed in each and every camp activity.

The trips will be led by certified and qualified Kanata staff members. The participants will leave Camp Kanata at 9:00 a.m. on Thursdays and will return at 5:30 p.m. Participants will stop during the trip along the river to eat lunch.
