JUMP ROPE RED
Character Development:
Tell your counselor the five YMCA character traits and their colors.
Skills:
1. Demonstrate your single routine with no more than two mistakes. The routine must have a minimum of five different tricks, and no more than three jumps between tricks.
2. Two jumpers-one rope: Create a routine with at least three tricks. No more than three jumps between tricks, and no more than two mistakes. If a partner copies a trick the other jumper performed, consider this one trick.
3. You must enter Double Dutch, jump 10 times, and exit, with no mistakes in the entire sequence.
4. With your freestyle rope, jump at least 10 times backwards.
5. Single Rope Speed (SRS): your age times seven (counting your right foot only in one minute).
6. Double-under: One
Exhibit responsibility by marking your one rope (single freestyle) with your name, and special marking. The rope must reach your armpits, and have no more than one knot. Everyone at camp has similar jump ropes. By marking yours, you make it unique and easy to find should it become lost.
