BASKETBALL LEVEL BLUE

Knowledge:

Upon completion of at least 16 skill checks, not including character traits, help a fellow camper learn and pass a red or orange skill you have already passed.

Character Development:

At home, write about one of the five character traits. Define and apply it to basketball. Length must be at least one full paragraph.

Skills:

Make five out of five free throws. Using proper BEEF technique, player must make a minimum of three free-throws without committing a lane violation (landing with their toes on or across the free-throw line). (Using age-appropriate goal height, ball and free throw line.)

4. Make three out of five fast-break lay-ups. At full sprint, player must dribble in from half-court and show proper form while shooting with one hand and using the backboard. (Using age-appropriate goal height and ball.)

5. Make five out of nine jump shots. Playes must start by shooting at the low-block position. Then they begin moving around the lane taking shots from each of the hash marks as well as one shot from the free-throw line. Player must perform a proper jump shot, using proper BEEF technique. 6. Demonstrate the three advanced stationary drills learned in yellow level. Player must demonstrate the drills without mistakes for 20 seconds each. (Using an age-appropriate ball.)
